Frankfurt/Main, 08 December 2009. And the winners of this year’s German Wild Card for IMEX 2010 are?. Asisi Visual Culture GmbH and Initiative Meeting Point Trier. They will enjoy free exhibition space under the umbrella of the GCB German Convention Bureau. The Wild Card is a valuable opportunity for the two companies, who are newcomers in the meetings and conventions industry: At “IMEX – incorporating Meetings made in Germany – the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events” they can present themselves for the first time to a high-calibre international trade audience. IMEX will take place from 25 to 27 May 2010 in hall 8 of Frankfurt Fair.

Lutz P. Vogt, Managing Director of the GCB: “Choosing the winners of the Wild Card for IMEX 2010 was a really difficult decision for us this year. We were happy to have not only a record number of 31 candidates but also that they were of such an excellent quality. This goes to show firstly how attractive it is to exhibit at IMEX under the GCB’s umbrella, and secondly that the German meetings and conventions industry is a dynamic sector with very high standards.”

Wild Card winners must meet certain criteria: Only companies that are based in Germany and focus on events in Germany can enter the competition. In addition, the candidates must be new on the German MICE market or offer a new innovative product for conventions and events, and it must be the first time they are taking part in a trade fair of the meetings industry.
