The trade fair welcomes the Belize Hotel Association, attending for the first time in official representation of its destination
The International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) will be holding its 30th edition between 20 and 24 January 2010. During its history, the event organised by IFEMA, has become consolidated as the unquestionable benchmark for the national tourism industry and one of the leading trade fairs on the international circuit. In this time, the trade fair has also proved its capability to assimilate and adapt itself to industry trends.
In this respect, and during a difficult economic climate, just one month away from its launch, FITUR 2010 has maintained the same level of business participation as in the previous edition, with more than 12,000 participating companies originating from 170 countries or regions. As in previous years, the trade fair will be welcoming new official delegations from countries such as Uganda, the Official Republic of Ghana and from territories such as Abu Dhabi.
These destinations increase the presence in some of the international areas with the greatest potential for tourism development: Africa and the Middle East. Also attending for the first time is the Belize Hotel Association. Official bodies and associations such as those from the Seychelles and Burkina Faso are returning to the International Tourism Trade Fair after missing the last edition, affirming once more the importance of FITUR as a commercial platform for the tourism sector.
The international presence, occupying halls 2 to 10 of Feria de Madrid, will be complemented by the traditional Spanish institutional proposals that will once again occupy the uneven numbered halls, from 3 to 9.
