Prokofiev’s ballet features the poor but charming young girl who, in contrast to her two step-sisters, is no gold-digger, but in the end she nevertheless wins the heart of the handsome prince. It is one of the most bewitching presentations of the Charles Perrault story.
The ballet has been choreographed by Victor Litvinov, while Maria Levichka has designed scenery and costumes.
