Burnside Joins ABTS, Bringing over 20 Years Financial Strategy and Planning
Experience in the Corporate Travel and Hospitality Industry
MIAMI, FL (January 25, 2010) – ABTS Convention Services (ABTS), a corporate travel provider specializing in serving U.S. medical associations and their international attendees, has announced today that industry veteran James Burnside, DBA has joined ABTS as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Burnside will work closely with President Davide Veglia and the ABTS team in Miami, Rome and San Francisco to implement strategic financial plans, oversee revenue analysis and cost control and lead overall financial and operational quality efforts to support the company’s ongoing expansion.

Burnside brings a wealth of experience in financial and revenue management, strategic planning and analysis, business planning and infrastructure, global customer service and team leadership. He was formerly Vice President of Revenue Performance and Passenger Services for Silversea Cruises, and Director of Revenue & Itinerary Planning for Norwegian Cruise Line, as
well as Vice President of Revenue Management for Renaissance Cruises. Prior to his experience in the cruise industry, Burnside was Senior Director of Revenue Technology for Autonation, Inc./Alamo Rent a Car. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration, a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Aviation Management, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
