The city of Liverpool and host venue BT Convention Centre, part of ACC Liverpool, last week hosted the prestigious Association of British Professional Conference Organisers Annual Conference, 21-23 January 2010.

Titled ‘Change Matters’, the three-day conference which drew over 50 high-profile conference and event organisers looked at how professional organisers could maximise their events in the current climate.  The event shared best practices and included case studies from ACC Liverpool’s Chief Executive Bob Prattey. Explaining the conception and development of ACC Liverpool, Bob illustrated how the venue has consolidated its position as one of the UK’s leading conference and live events spaces in just under two years of operation.

BT Convention Centre Liverpool has increasingly become a venue of choice for professional conference, meeting and event planners drawn to the vibrancy of a resurgent city and, particularly, the venue’s exacting operating procedures and award winning sustainability policies.

Jacquie Rogers, General Manager of the BT Convention Centre Liverpool said: “As the host venue for the ABPCO Annual Conference we had the ideal opportunity to showcase our world-class facilities to professional conference organisers and decision makers in the industry.”
