Visit London has joined forces with some of London’s leading hotels, business venues and sports stadia to host its first interactive ‘tweet-up’ at International Confex on Wednesday 24 February 2010, Visit London’s stand L700, 3pm.

Delegates and exhibitors alike will be able to use Twitter technology to share their favourite London stories or favourite London facts with the Visit London team for the chance of winning a fantastic London prize.

This year the Visit London stand showcases 16 outstanding business partners including London’s leading sports venues – Arsenal FC – Emirates Stadium, Chelsea Football Club, Lord’s Cricket Ground, Sandown Park Racecourse and Wembley Stadium.

There will also be a range of iconic business venues such as Barbican, ILEC Conference Centre, Royal College of Physicians, The Mermaid Conference & Events Centre and the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.

London’s top business hotels are represented by Novotel London West and the newly renovated, luxury hotel The Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour. And finally London’s quirky events spaces are showcased through the unique events spaces: The Roof Gardens, Audi quattro rooms, Historic Royal Palaces and finally London Eastside – which represents a number of different venues and spaces.

Zanine Adams, Head of Events Solutions & UK Sales Manager, commented:
“We are delighted with the range of fantastic partners that are on offer on the Visit London stand at this year’s International Confex. For us it’s all about showcasing venues which highlight London’s true diversity and high-quality service; we really have London’s crème de la crème of business venues.”

She added: “The ‘Tweet-up’ event is a fun event which we’ve created to celebrate the new ‘Twitter’ aspect of our Event organisers’ website www.visitlondon.com/business and we’re hoping it will show a quirky and interactive side to both London’s business offer and the events industry.”

The most interesting ‘London tweet’ sent to @VLBusiness that afternoon will win a special prize – people should tweet their favourite London fact or venue which they have used. The ‘Tweet-up’ will take place on the Visit London stand L700 at 3pm on Wednesday 24 February 2010.  Please RSVP to ccouchman@visitlondon.com to attend.
