The passenger port of St. Petersburg “Morskoy Fasad” is planning to receive 450 thousand tourists this year. This is almost in 2 times more than last year.
According to the press service of Committee for Transport and Transit Policy of the city, 271 entries to the port (100 ferries and 171 cruise liners) are expecting this year. The first entry will be on May 6 and the last one on September 15, 2010.
The third stage of the construction of the port will be finished this year. The port received the first ship in 2008. This port is used for cruise and ferry vessels with the length up to 311 metres and draught up to 9 metres. The length of new channel is 10 kilometres with the depth of 11 metres. The port has 7 berths in total.
