Hungary, Switzerland and Sweden will issue free visas

Following Belgium, the Embassies of Hungary, Switzerland and Sweden have responded positively to the request of Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) and are ready to reissue visas free of charge for the tourists who were not able to travel due to volcanic eruptions in Iceland, but will change the dates of the journey.

Consular department of the Embassy of Republic of Hungary reports that the usual set of documents will be required for the applicants. Consular fee won’t be charged.

Switzerland is also ready to issue free visas if the tourists provide pictures, application form, hotel’s booking, air ticket and medical insurance.

The Embassy of Sweden confirmed the readiness to reissue visas free of charge during 3 weeks for the Russians who were not able to travel due to the volcanic eruptions. The tourists should bring just new medical insurance and an explanation letter to the Embassy.

Just to remind, on Friday Association of Tour Operators of Russia sent a letters with the request to reissue visas for the Russians free of charge to the Embassies of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia and Switzerland. “The tourists who wish to change the dates of their trips have to reissue visas bearing expenses for it again. We ask you to consider the possibility to reissue visas free of charge for the Russian tourists, who were not able to visit your country”, was reported in the official letter of ATOR President Anatoly Yarochkin.
