AIBTM EXPANDS TEAM WITH NEW SALES DIRECTOR FOLLOWING RAFT OF EXHIBITOR SIGNINGS

Following a raft of top US and international exhibitor signings to the inaugural AIBTM (The America Meetings and Events Exhibition – www.aibtm.com <http://www.aibtm.com> ) in Baltimore in June 2011, Nancy Walker has joined the AIBTM team from Reed Business Information as the event’s Sales Director.


Set to be the most important and influential event in the US meetings event calendar, AIBTM taking place from June 21 – 23, 2011, will attract around 3,000 decision-makers of whom 500 will be delivered through Reed Travel Exhibitions’ unique Hosted Buyer Program.

At Reed Business Information – part of the Reed stable of companies – Nancy was Vice President, Associate Publisher, responsible for sales management and marketing of integrated media platforms for Tradeshow Week, incorporating three annual directories and event sponsorship sales. She has a wealth of experience in a variety of travel related sectors including convention & visitor bureaus, convention centers and event technology companies.

Previously to joining Reed Business Information in 1993, Nancy worked for TSC Publishing in Los Angeles; Lord Dentsu & Partners, part of the largest independently owned agency network in the world and Hearst Magazine Division in New York.

Commenting on her new role Nancy said: “This is an exciting time for the meetings industry in the US and I am delighted to be bringing my knowledge and experience of the market to what is set to be the major meetings event in the US when it opens in June 2011.”

AIBTM will provide meeting and event professionals in all sectors – association, corporate, government and third party – with quality interaction with over 300 North American and international exhibitors.  The 3,000 buyer attendees will be made up of North American based meeting planners with domestic, interstate and international business, plus international planners and buyers.

AIBTM’s Hosted Buyer Program allows buyers to schedule one-on-one appointments with suppliers of their choice in advance of the event, guaranteeing maximum return on attendance.
