Summer 2010 will be launched in style onboard MY ‘Christina O’ with the inaugural opera and dining experience ‘La Divina’ The Renaissance of Maria Callas onboard MY ‘Christina O’ on 4th of June from Monaco. La Divina offers a unique luxurious evening on the world’s most famous superyacht. An operatic performance synonymous with La Divina is an hour long recital given by a leading Soprano of international repute interweaving the tragic story of Maria Callas’ life and doomed love affair with Aristotle Onassis, with her signature arias from the great operatic roles for which she was most famous. The evening package also includes a wonderful buffet-style dinner prepared by our ‘Don Alfonso 1890’ experienced chefs and a tour which will give guests a detailed insight into the history of the yacht. The evening cruise departs from Cannes/ Monaco at 1800 and returns to the marina at 2330.
Previous guests onboard included Sir Winston Churchill, the Aga Khan, President John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Prince Rainier & Princess Grace of Monaco, Greta Garbo, John Wayne, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Eva Peron, John Paul Getty, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and many others who adorned the front pages of magazines and newspapers as they were entertained on the ‘Christina O’. The yacht will cruise along the Cote D’Azur and guests will savour an intimate performance by sopranos Nelly Miricioiu (4 & 5 of June from Monaco) Mary Plazas (27 & 28 of May from Monaco) and Claire Rutter (29 of May from Monaco).
The yacht MY ‘Christina O’ has been completely renovated while preserving all its unique features. As her legendary past blends into the dawning of a new era, ‘Christina O’ brings back the extraordinary lifestyle of the Onassis years.
