“Although much of mine and the directors time has been dedicated to making members feel at home and dealing with events, business meetings, conferences and even a wedding, it has been a real pleasure” said Nutley, who had been working on the idea of a club for the global travel and tourism industry for three years before it came to fruition.
“We know that it has been a difficult year for some of our members, not least the challenges of an economic slowdown.
“Which is why we have appreciated the tremendous support and loyalty we have received from so many people in the industry over the past year.”
Nutley said that the concept of the club is fast becoming an international phenomenon and growing by the month.
He added: “Travel companies simply cannot afford the expense of a permanent presence in London, but it is still absolutely necessary to improving commercial success.
“Industry management have found that becoming a member of the Travel Club is far cheaper than the expense ofmaintaining a building in the heart of London.
“Members have found that being able to drop into their ‘home from home’ has been a welcome bonus as well as a considerable business benefit.”
