250 of the world’s leading travel bloggers will be coming to Copenhagen in November, when Momondo, Wonderful Copenhagen and Finnair Denmark host the American blog conference, TBEX, on travel, tourism and communication.

TBEX is a conference for travel bloggers which has previously been held with great success in Chicago and New York. From 4-6 November the conference comes to Europe for the first time, following the success of Momondo, Wonderful Copenhagen and Finnair Denmark in bringing the event to Denmark.

TBEX has grown very quickly. It began as a meeting between different travel bloggers in 2009, and has now become the most talked about event in the travel blog world. We are looking forward to coming to Denmark with Momondo’s help,” says Kim Mance, co-founder of TravelBlogExchange.com (TBEX) and managing director of Galavanting Productions which organises the TBEX conferences.

The demand from would-be participants in TBEX’s previous conferences has been so great that it became apparent early in 2010 that Europe should also have its own conference. 250 international travel bloggers are expected in Copenhagen in November, where the topics up for discussion will include blog-ethics, travel descriptions, podcasting, video and photography.

“These days there is a great deal of focus on communicating travel experiences by creating new online portals, and blogging is the current form of communication in the travel industry. We want to be part of putting the focus on this, which is why we are proud to be able to present the first TBEX Europe conference in Copenhagen,” says Martin Lumbye, partner in Momondo.

Wonderful Copenhagen is also looking forward to a great event.

“The conference will give the world’s leading travel bloggers a first hand experience of the city, so they will hopefully write enthusiastically about the Nordic kitchen; about our hotel facilities; the way the conference is run; environmental initiatives; our cycling culture; design; architecture; cultural life; meetings, and much more,” says Anéh Christina Hajdu, director of communications at Wonderful Copenhagen.

The conference venue will beCirkusbygningen in the heart of Copenhagen. Cirkusbygningen, which has space for up to 1,000 people, is run by Wallmans and as well as its conference facilities, also offers an international dinner show.
