The Spanish Education Programme at this year’s EIBTM (www.eibtm.com) will feature eight sessions focused on the latest issues in the regional and international meetings and events industry, underlying EIBTM’s commitment to dedicating a proportion of their programme to the Spanish market.

Running over the three days of the show (30 November to 2 December at the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona), the programme has been created in partnership with MPI’s Spanish Chapter, Korazza Consulting and ICCA’s Iberian Chapter.

The seminars, taking place in the new Lecture Theatre created on the show floor, will be led by some of the most influential industry experts, will be free to attend, and will offer cutting-edge professional education opportunities, available to all visitors at the show.

The Power of Coaching in the Workplace will look at the benefits and impact that coaching has on individuals within a company in relationship to their capabilities and improving performance.

The Creative Catering seminar will discuss the importance of surprise factors and the value that culinary creativity can contribute to the success of an event.

ROI in Event Communication considers a variety of communications campaigns and effective ROI measurement of these campaigns.

Visitors who wish to learn about the technology available to help save resources and achieve better results for events should attend Technology Within Your Reach to Do More with Less. The session will analyse Online Interactive Management and Marketing, interactive voting systems, online surveys, data transfer and data sharing.

Key Factors to Recruit and Build Member Loyalty, created in partnership with Korazza, will focus on effective networking, member recruitment and retention, planning, and training. The session will be highly interactive and will encourage audience participation.

Creativity in Events, produced in association with MPI’s Spanish Chapter, will focus on the importance that creativity plays in events and face-to-face communication.

Renowned experts will provide advice on positioning for destinations and hotels in the association market, using examples, in Five Keys to Success in the International Association Market, produced in association with ICCA’s Iberian Chapter.

Finally, the session dedicated to students, And Now Where Do I Work?, looks to inspire and educate on the reality of the market, providing a solid overview on the knowledge and skills that various sectors require in the workplace.

Erica Keogan, EIBTM’s Education Content Manager comments: “This year we have increased the number of sessions in the overall Education Programme and the Spanish seminar sessions for two key reasons: last year the sessions had a record attendance; and the post show research clearly showed that EIBTM is an important annual event for the Spanish market. Visitors provided crucial feedback on the sort of topics they wanted to see featured in their programme.”
