From Tuesday November 30th– Thursday December 2nd, the annual international trade show EIBTM will be held in Barcelona. EIBTM is the worldwide exhibition for the Meeting and Events Industry. Together with the Maastricht Exhibition & Congress Centre (MECC Maastricht), the Maastricht Convention Bureau (MCB) will represent and promote Maastricht & surrounding area as the destination for all kinds of business meetings. They will do this, in striking red polo shirts, on the Holland Meeting Point, the booth of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC).
The Holland Meeting Point (booth number J310) is entirely about The Netherlands as a destination for corporate meetings and conventions. For several years now, the Maastricht Convention Bureau and MECC Maastricht are present at EIBTM, to convince visitors that Maastricht & surrounding area is the best destination for their business meetings.
And this representation has results: prior to the exhibition, visitors can plan appointments with exhibitors via an online reservations system. The diaries of Maastricht & surrounding area’s representatives were overbooked, several weeks before the beginning of EIBTM. Therefore, appointments are being made during the evenings as well, so all planners interested in Maastricht & surrounding area can be informed.
But informing is not all the Maastricht Convention Bureau does: when visitors want to have their meeting in Maastricht & surrounding area, the bureau advises them, completely free of charge, about the possibilities that Maastricht & surrounding area has to offer for that particular meeting, taking their specific needs and wishes into account. And Maastricht & surrounding area has a lot to offer; there are venues to suit all needs.
With its products, services and expertise for many years, the Maastricht Convention Bureau is the intermediary to promote convention and meeting visits to Maastricht & surrounding area. The MCB office is situated in the historical Dinghuis building in Maastricht, where the Maastricht Tourist Office is located as well.
