New appointment at church house conference centre

Church House Conference Centre strengthens its in-house AV team with the appointment of Ian Locke as AV Manager.

Ian brings with him a wealth of industry experience gained from technical management of events worldwide and joins Church House from his previous roles as Technical Manager for Dominion Theatre and Fairfield Halls, where he was responsible for stage management and maintenance of the venues and event spaces. Prior to this, he toured with large theatre shows for Vanessa Ford Productions and held previous technician roles at The Winter Gardens Theatre in Bournemouth and the Bournemouth International Centre.

Ian will be responsible for overseeing the sucessful delivery of more than 1,600 events held at the venue every year ranging from small meetings to large conferences and award dinners, for two to 645 delegates. With a solid background in event management and technical support, Ian’s appointment represents a growing shift in Church House’s strategy, which will see it take advantage of new opportunities for event business within the corporate market.

Speaking of the recent appointment, Robin Parker, General Manager of Church House Conference Centre said; “We are delighted with the appointment, Ian comes to us with a wealth of industry knowledge which will only build upon our award winning AV team’s reputation for executing innovative and sucessful events.”

AV services range from CAD design, filming, audio recording, video conferencing and broadcast coordination as well as the supply of all technical services across all 19 spacious rooms at the venue.
