MIDANZA , an exceptional event celebrating the magical art of dance in its many forms, will return to the Milano Convention Centre from 3rd to 5th December.

A special “Kids Zone” will be set up for “budding dancers”: an area reserved exclusively to activities for children aged between 4 and 10 years.  Kids Zone will host Aurora Marsotto’s “School of Dance”, hip hop for children, Athletic Dance by Kataklò and Marinella Santini’s Giocodanza®, that is lessons in which the playing, together with body, voice, music and space become fundamental to discovering the artistic and creative potential of the child.

The event will also feature two major international competitions, with prestigious and exclusive awards to be won.

In order to identify and support young talents, the Milan International Dance Competition will award its winners with scholarships at the Bolshoi Dance Academy, the Broadway Dance Center and the Alvin Ailey Extension in New York.  Dance Idol on the other hand will offer 10 one-month scholarships in Los Angeles, giving aspiring hip hop dancers the opportunity to attend the famous and prestigious Millennium Dance Complex that has opened its doors to many celebrities, such as Beyonce, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.
