International Confex has joined forces with industry consultant Tony Rogers and freelance events consultant Mathilde Stein to launch a student conference at International Confex when it returns to Earl’s Court from 1st – 3rd March.

Titled ‘The Future is You’, the conference will be held on a dedicated student day on Thursday 3rd March from 10.00am – 13.30pm. Places are free with limited availability and priority will be given to final year events management students, who will then be entitled to entry into Confex on the Thursday in the afternoon. Speakers at the conference include Experience Consultant Ian Irving, Trevor Foley from tfconnect, John Walker of Oxford International, Mark Saxby from Eventia and WorldEvents and Duncan Reid, Clarion Events.

Portfolio Director of International Confex, Jonny Sullens commented; “Students are the future of our industry and as professionals it is our duty to shape and guide them in their journey. At the same time, we have to be mindful of the needs of our exhibitors, which is why only those attending the conference will be eligible for entry into Confex.”

The conference will provide practical advice and information on careers, employment and further study opportunities. Students will also be able to gain an informed insight into the latest trends, issues and developments in the dynamic events sector and have access to networking opportunities.

Places are limited to 250 students. Those interested are asked to register their interest by visiting www.international-confex.com/studentday and lecturers can also register via the same link.
