Tourist New Zealand, the country’s official tourism body, has added its offerings to FITUR’s selection to be presented at its 2011 edition held from 19-23 January. In this way the country expands the list of international organizations attending FITUR to promote their different vacation destinations.
For the edition at which it will feature a stand for the first time, New Zealand will invite travellers to find out about the multiple ecosystems the nation features and the active tourism possibilities it offers. Among other programs, hiking enthusiasts will be able to make their way through its lush forests, while the most adventurous tourists may take rafting trips down foaming, crystalline New Zealand rivers, or board a helicopter to explore its majestic glaciers from the air. New Zealand’s tourism options also include the chance to explore the fascinating native Maori culture, with unique traditions that one will be able to learn more about at the Fair.
New Zealand’s FITUR stand will be located in Hall 2, reserved for exhibits from the Pacific and Asia. Hall 4 will house representatives from the Americas and Africa, while Europe will be spread out in numbers 6 and 8. Part of Hall 8 will be added to 10 in order to feature offerings form the most competitive companies in the sector, a selection that is rounded out by Spanish travel destinations, located in halls 3, 5, 7 and 9, with number 1 dedicated exclusively to the registration of visitors.
