DWTC will start the New Year on solid footing by hosting six of the Middle East’s most prolific events in sectors that include Petrochemicals, Security, Education, Human Resources, Production Services and Healthcare & Biotechnology. January’s programme will set the pace for what promises to be a fruitful and energized year for trade and business development in the UAE, with a focus on an increase in business opportunities and deals through continued growth of exhibitors and quality visitors.

Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), said: “With an impressive line-up of events, DWTC is ideally positioned for another signature year, and remains committed to providing the ideal networking platform by hosting a global calendar of world-class events. The commencement of 2011 showcases the growth of a number of the region’s most significant sector-specific shows, highlighting the positive market outlook of the events industry, as it continues to drive business tourism and economic growth to the region. “

The impressive programme of events scheduled for January includes the world’s second largest healthcare exhibition, Arab Health. To set the scene, the 2010 edition of Arab Health saw a record 66,000 participating professional visitors and delegates, and over 2,700 exhibitors from 58 countries, delivering a 20 per cent increase in exhibitor and visitor volumes from the previous year. Taking place between the 24th and 27th of January, Arab Health 2011 looks to be another blockbuster year and will see it stage the world’s most prolific sector related congress, with 18 CME-accredited conferences and over 500 internationally acclaimed speakers. With the launch of new country pavilions that include Japan, Hong Kong, Argentina and Singapore, exhibitor numbers are expected to increase over last year, and the event promises to present the global healthcare industry with yet another unrivalled medical congress programme.
