Barcelona, 12th of January 2010. – A picture of an old abandoned car in a garage in Budapest’s Memento Park: that is the winning snapshot of the 5th “Your View is Personal” Eurostars Hotels Photography Prize, an event organised by the hotel chain that invites its guests to snap their particular vision of the city they are visiting.

The author of the winning photograph is Neapolitan Enzo Siconolfi, who stayed at the recently opened Eurostars Budapest Center last summer. The jury awarded this photograph because of “its ability to create an intriguing atmosphere, the intentionality of the author’s vantage point and especially because the snapshot faithfully reflects the theme of the competition: a personal view of a city”.

All 25 prize-winning photographs will be displayed in a travelling exhibition that will be displayed at most Eurostars hotels in Europe starting in April 2011. In this year’s edition, Eurostars received almost 500 photographs from 30 destinations, including New York, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Brussels, Madrid and Barcelona, among others.
