Liverpool Convention Bureau has joined forces with 27 participating venues to create a Liverpool Small Meetings Package offering a tiered scheme of day delegate rates across the City Region starting from as little as £17.50. The initiative was part of a bid to remind buyers that Liverpool can accommodate small meetings, as well as large congresses, and to offer added value to those booking events for smaller numbers.
The packages also include unique added value incentives such as a team building crafts session at arts venue the Bluecoat, a cocktail demonstration and tasting at Malmaison Liverpool, a stadium tour at Liverpool Football Club and complimentary entry into the Beatles Story visitor attraction courtesy of Premier Inn Liverpool Albert Dock.
“Liverpool has established itself as a large congress destination thanks to events such as the Labour party conference, the Royal College of Nursing and the forthcoming Liverpool Boat Show, but we want to get the message out that we can also accommodate smaller gatherings. Many large events also incorporate smaller fringe meetings and we see the Small Meetings Package as our way of shouting about the wealth of options that we have;” comments Carol O’Reilly, Liverpool Convention Bureau Manager.
“We’ve cut out all the legwork to bring all of the packages together in addition to including some added value options that only Liverpool can offer to make it as easy as possible for the buyer. Hopefully the initiative will be well received by the meetings community.”
