621 entries (over 200 of them on the last day) in the international web competition organised by Fondazione Fiera Milano, Fiera Milano Spa and Fiera Milano Congressi to find a new name and a new logo for Europe’s biggest Congress Centre. This building will be inaugurated in May and its 18,000 places will further expand the seating capacity offered by the current structure.

This competition is the first in the world concerning a congress centre to be entirely run on a crowdsourcing basis, on BootB.com, an Internet platform that puts businesses in touch with creatives. On BootB.com, competitions can receive entries via web from all four corners of the planet.
This totally paperless contest was open to anyone aged 13 or over and the winner will receive a prize of $10,000 (around €7,500).

A mixed commission composed of the Fiera Milano Foundation, Fiera Milano Spa and Fiera Milano Congressi will make a first selection. This list of proposals will then be handed over to a jury of experts, made up of Marva Griffin Wilshire, of Salone Satellite, photographer Bob Krieger, Antonio Romano, who created the graphics for the Italian Pavilion in Shanghai and Patrizia Semprebene Buongiorno, of AIM Group, one of the biggest congress organisers.

This technical jury will compile an evaluation chart and draw up a shortlist of projects, which will be examined, completely anonymously, by the institutional jury that will announce the winner on 28 March. The institutional jury will comprise Gianpiero Cantoni, Maurizio Lupi and  Enrico Pazzali, CEO of Fiera Milano Spa.
