ABTA Chairman to Moderate WTM Vision Conference – London

Expedia’s Head of Marketing Matthew Walls joins John McEwan for the panel debate

World Travel Market, the leading global event in the travel industry, is delighted to announce ABTA Chairman John McEwan will moderate WTM Vision Conference – London on May 25.

McEwan, who is also Chief Executive of the UK’s largest travel agency consortium Advantage, has had a long and distinguished career of more than 40 years in the travel industry.  He spent more than 30 years at Thomas Cook as well as holding the positions of Lunn Poly Managing Director and TUI UK Retail Director.

He will moderate the third WTM Vision Conference – London, taking place on May 25 at the CBI’s Conference Centres, which offers high-calibre speakers, content and research to give analysis, statistical assessment and interpretations to the industry’s senior leaders.

The half-day event starts with an overview of the global industry with Euromonitor International Head of Travel & Tourism Research Caroline Bremner profiling the organisation’s latest research. The report (worth £1,000) will be given free to all delegates.

A session on consumer spending trends follows before McEwan, who became ABTA Chairman in 2009, will chair a comprehensive review of the UK outbound and domestic market with some of the industry’s biggest hitters, including;

  • TUI Specialists Managing Director Clare Tobin
  • Shearings Chief Executive Denis Wormwell, and
