Baby & Child tests iPhone app

Baby & Child is the first show at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre to use an iPhone app.
If the trial is successful the app will be further developed and used at more trade fairs and in various types of mobile phones, such as Androids.

The idea of Baby & Child’s iPhone app is that visitors can download facts about the fair, a list of exhibitors, a summary of activities, a plan and various types of fair offers. This year’s offers include discounted admission, a free latte and a discount at the show’s exhibitors.

The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre is behind the trial of the app. Anna Jarnö, exhibition manager for Baby & Child, is expectant and curious about the new app that first saw the light of day in March.
“Yes, it’s going to be really exciting to see how many download and use it. The reason that this show is testing the app first is that Baby & Child is in tune with the times and many of our target group use iPhones.”

Anna Jarnö goes on to say that there are a large number of development opportunities with the new app.
“The app can certainly be a complementary marketing channel for exhibitors. It allows the exhibitor to target the consumer with information in an easy and attractive way via mobile phone.”
