The Museum of Science & Industry, a premium central Manchester venue offering ten rooms for meetings and events has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Lucy Cort to the position of sales manager.
Lucy will assume responsibility of managing event co-ordination, reviewing and updating sales and marketing activity, whilst driving new sales for the conference and events department – and further establishing the venue as a first choice for corporate events and entertainment in the city. Lucy is joining the team from the Lowry Hotel where she worked as event planner for the last 18 months.
Lucy commented: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work at MOSI. It is an exciting unique venue with potential for incredible events. I look forward to building strong relationships with our key clients and introducing new ones to the possibilities the venue offers”.
Louise Amphlett, head of Lime Venue Portfolio said: “The quantity and variety of conferences held at MOSI is increasing since the opening of the new Revolution Manchester Gallery. The venue has secured more banqueting business with a clientele list now ranging from the NHS and University of Manchester to the likes of Pannone LLP and AstraZeneca. This makes it a promising start to the new decade for MOSI and an exciting time for Lucy to come on board.
“I am confident that with MOSI’s improved facilities and a great new addition to the team, the venue’s meetings and events business is going to continue to grow as it becomes an even more sought after venue in the north west”.
