A record-breaking statistics was published by the Russian State Statistics Service and the Federal Agency for Tourism in 2010. 12 605 000 Russians travelled abroad in 2010. This indicator exceeds the data of 2009 by 32.1% and by 11.4% the data of 2008.
At the time, the TOP 5 popular destinations among the Russians remained the same: Turkey, Egypt, China, Finland and Germany. It’s interesting to note that a considerable growth demonstrated Vietnam and was included into the list of 30 popular destinations of the Russians.
The absolute leader for the dynamics of growth became Thailand in 2010. Thecountrydoubleditsindicatorincomparisonwith2009 (465 thousandtourists).
The 2nd place took Dominican Republic having increased the number of the Russian tourists by 70%: 67 thousand Russians in 2010. The 3rd result was noted for Vietnam (68%).
Based on the forecasts of the macroeconomics for Russia, ATOR Analytical Service predicts further growth of outbound tourist flow by 10-15%. According to ATOR Analysts the dynamics of the first 6 months of the year will be higher reaching the indicator of 18-20%.
