At IMEX 2011 the ACC Liverpool team will be sharing more details with
buyers in relation to the recently announced expansion plans for the
venue, which continues to enhance its reputation as a landmark
conference and events venue.
The development in Liverpool will include an 8,100m2 exhibition and
events complex which is scheduled to open in September 2014. The new development will ensure that ACC Liverpool stays ahead of the competitor set through its flexibility and world class product offering.
The venue is also developing its team as well as its facilities.
Joining the recently expanded sales team, new appointments in the shape
of a Business Development Manager and a Social Media Executive will help
ensure a continued drive aimed at informing customers of the
opportunities for events of all kinds to develop and flourish in this
most exciting of cities.
Developing Liverpool’s connectivity to Europe’s transport infrastructure
will be a major theme at IMEX. Initiatives including the partnership
with Virgin trains to provide a seamless rail booking service for
delegates can be attributed to ACC Liverpool’s success along with the
expanding reach of Liverpool John Lennon airport to over 70 UK and
European destinations. KLM operates four daily flights between
Liverpool and their main International hub, Schiphol, Amsterdam, which
offers connections from over 650 worldwide destinations.
Thousands of delegates are now arriving in the city every week
representing a wide spectrum of market sectors. The city’s current
hotel bedstock continues to grow with new additions to the 5,000 rooms
already available in the city centre.
On Tuesday 24th May at 2pm, the team from ACC Liverpool, who will be
exhibiting on the Visit England Stand F360, will be presenting its plans
for the new Exhibition and Events Complex as well as giving an update on its latest connectivity initiatives and hotel expansion plans in the
city.
