Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Borneo’s first purpose built convention centre and Malaysia’s newest is spreading its wings. To date, Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) has an enviable record of 137 bid wins from West Malaysia representing an excellent success rate. With 59% of the SCB’s regional and international clients based in West Malaysia and over 20% of BCCK’s 2010 events originating in West Malaysia, BCCK is pleased to announce the opening of its KL office in May.
Speaking about the initiative, BCCK’s CEO Paul D’Arcy said “We are delighted to announce the placement of one of our most experienced Sales Managers in the KL market. Noraini Ahmad has been with BCCK since 2009 and already has a strong relationship with our KL and West Malaysian based clients.”
BCCK’s Sales Manager Ms. Noraini Ahmad will be transferring to the new office, as Sales Manager, Peninsular Malaysia, tasked with generating business from the corporate, government and association segments.
“This strategic move will allow BCCK to maintain a competitive edge with other convention venues and I am looking forward to working together with new industry partners Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau and established partners such as Sarawak Convention Bureau, Sarawak Tourism Board, Tourism Malaysia and International Congress and Convention Association,” responded Ms. Ahmad, when asked about her move.
