Congrex announced today that it has incorporated Congrex France to its group of companies – a move that was a natural progression in Congrex expansion strategy. The newly formed entity will be based in Paris.

Speaking about this latest development, the President of Congrex France, Donald M. Hellstedt, remarked: “France is a very important market for Congrex and it represents a great future potential for us. We are extremely pleased with this latest development, which is a logical step within our continuing growth strategy. We are looking forward to fully engage the French market, where over the years Congrex has conducted a large number of international conferences.”

This news was followed by the announcement that Congrex France has been accepted as an official member by the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau. Membership in the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau signals that an organisation upholds the highest standards of quality and Congrex with its almost 30 years of worldwide activities is well poised to meet the strict guidelines of this standard. The Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau is the destination’s gateway for corporate and associations event organisers. Its main missions are to inform, advise and assist professional event organisers regarding the benefits of hosting meetings and events in France’s capital city.

Other partners also enthusiastically welcomed Congrex in Paris. Laurent Chiron, Sales Director at Viparis, the company that currently incorporates the ten largest venues in the French capital, said: “The fact that Congrex, which represents one of the three biggest players within the international meetings industry, decides to open an office in Paris demonstrates how attractive the destination is. It shows the importance of Paris within the European event landscape. Viparis is delighted of this addition to the Parisian offer.”

Making a statement regarding the Paris opening, Kristina Hultgren, Operations Director Congrex France, said: “We are proud to make this move and look forward to working with the other partners and stakeholders in the city. I am sure our proven processes will enable us to develop existing, and forge new, partnerships and alliances in the French market.”
