INTRASOFT International is set to sponsor one of the most important international computer conferences in the IT world’s calendar. The 37th ACM SIGMOD / PODS International Conference will be held this year in Athens from 12-16 June 2011 and will see over 550 scientists and professionals come together to explore cutting-edge ideas and exchange techniques, tools, and experiences on commercial information management.
The conference, which is reputed for its scientifically sound approach, goes beyond the traditional spectrum of management and data processing and explores web searches, extraction knowledge, social networks and database application in various areas of industry.
Up until 2003 the ACM SIGMOD / PODS conference was held exclusively in North America, and now every 4th year the conference takes place elsewhere in the world. Athens is only the second European city to host the event and was selected due to its buoyant scientific community in the information management field.
