RIU opens Clubhotel Riu Palm Azur in Tunisia Palma de Mallorca, May 12th 2011

  • The new All Inclusive 4 star hotel features 390 rooms and has become the 10th hotel of the Spanish hotel chain in Tunisia

RIU Hotels & Resorts has opened its 10th hotel in Tunisia and 2nd hotel on the island of Djerba. The ClubHotel Riu Palm Azur is an ocean front property located only 6 kilometres from the shopping area and 30 kilometres from Djerba airport.

The new 4 star All Inclusive hotel, which opened on April 26th, features 390 rooms including family rooms and Suites Prestige. It also offers a conference room, four restaurants, four bars, two outdoor pools and a children’s pool for the warmer months and for the winter season a heated indoor pool.

Guests can enjoy a wide gastronomic offer in the new ClubHotel Riu Palm Azur which has the main restaurant and three specialty restaurants: the Asian, Tunisian and Mediterranean restaurant. The hotel offers as well an extensive menu of domestic and international cocktails in its four different bars.

The new ClubHotel offers a gym, spa, tennis courts, beach volleyball, a playground, non motorized water sports, a hobby club with activities to enjoy with the family and the RiuLand program, a new children’s entertainment program with activities for different age groups: 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 years old. And for golf lovers, there is a golf course with 27 holes only 10 kilometers away.

The Djerba Island is known as the “Mediterranean Garden” for its lush vegetation and exotic cuisine. The island which is located south of Tunisia, is 25 kilometers long, has golden beaches, palm trees and is surrounded by crystal clear waters.
