ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, has announced a company restructure to reflect the changing needs of its business.

Driven by the development of a £40m event and exhibition complex due for completion in 2014, the new management structure includes the replacement of the three current General Manager positions with two new posts which will report directly to the Chief Executive. In addition to the new Commercial Director and Operations Director roles, a new Project Director position has also been created to oversee the venue’s expansion plans.

Further to these changes ACC Liverpool has today (Wednesday 1 June) announced the appointment of Tim Banfield to the position of Commercial Director and Phil Pickett to the position of Project Director, Exhibition and Event Facilities. Prior to his new role, Tim Banfield was General Manager with Echo Arena and Phil Pickett was General Manager of Operations across the entire ACC Liverpool site. The new Operations Director role is yet to be filled and a period of external recruitment will now commence.
