ACC Liverpool, comprising BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, brought its latest instalment of London ventures in the form of a summer showcase event held on Wednesday 29th June 2011 at Liverpool’s Embassy in the capital.
The showcase comprised two events in one day – a sit down lunch in the afternoon for association clients and cocktails and canapés in the evening for corporate contacts. Guests had the chance to meet the team, get an update on the latest development plans for the new Exhibition and Events Complex and find out what Liverpool has to offer as a conference destination.
ACC Liverpool’s catering partner Heathcotes catered for both events and wowed guests with their delicious catering offer. The chance for Heathcotes to go ‘pop up’ in London for one day only, allowed ACC Liverpool to showcase its entire package to potential and existing clients.
‘Lunch at the Embassy’ was put on specifically for association clients, with over 35 guests including Royal College of Nursing, Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, and the British Dental Association. ‘Summer Soiree’, the cocktails and canapés evening event, attracted 35 corporate contacts including BBC Worldwide which will host its event at ACC Liverpool in 2012 for the first time.
The summer showcase event is a first for the venue and comes hot off the heels of this year’s latest announcement of the major expansion plans at ACC Liverpool. The venue continues to deliver high profile events to include the Labour Party Conference in September as well as new corporate and association clients experiencing ACC Liverpool for the first time.
Kerrin MacPhie, Director of Sales, said, “As our annual end of year showcase has been a success for the last five years we decided to host a similar summer event to give our association and corporate clients another opportunity to meet the team in London. This year we have been lucky enough to have our caterers with us which has given us the chance to tell the full story of our product offering.”
