AIBTM’S EDUCATION DAY OVER SUBSCRIBED

PCMA co-located conference also welcomes more than 600 registrants

With over 1,500 buyers pre-registered for day one of the first AIBTM which opened yesterday in Baltimore, it was standing room only at many of the 12 Education Day Sessions. At the same time PCMA announced that their annual Education Conference co-located with AIBTM attracted more than 600 total registrants which was 64% more than the conference drew in Montreal last year.

Eugenia Solano of Rain Forest Adventures Costa Rica commented “Costa Rica became a new member of ICCA recently and we represent the Costa Rica Bureau of incentive organisers. We are here to take advantage of our country’s ICCA membership for the first time and are enjoying the education sessions .”

Amarosa Gruess, Oslo Convention Bureau Norway. “I really enjoyed the session on how to research what your clients need and my key take-away was don’t try to push your product on the clients and try to research better.”

On average over 150 delegates packed each of the session rooms to listen to a wide range of industry topics from ICCA on “Penetrating the US Outbound Meetings Market”, to “MPI Global Training on the Road” and “Strategic Meetings Management Supplier Engagement .”

Education continues at AIBTM when the expo opens today June 22nd with 4 morning seminars on Wednesday and 3 on Thursday running concurrently from 9-10am .
