The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, announces its first ski resort in Ukraine: The Radisson Blu Resort, Bukovel, which is scheduled to open in the winter season 2011/12 and adds 252 rooms to Rezidor’s solid pipeline.
“We are delighted to have signed a further property in Ukraine which is together with Russia and the further CIS countries one of our key areas for future business development. And at the same time we are pleased to add a new resort to our growing portfolio of contemporary and stylish mountain- and beach resorts across Europe, Middle East and Africa”, said Kurt Ritter, president & CEO of Rezidor.
Bukovel is the Ukraine’s most modern ski resort. It is situated in the Carpathian Mountains and offers dramatic snow-capped peaks and untouched nature. Slopes are available for all categories of skiers, including Black Diamond-level. The ski season stretches from the beginning of December to mid-April. For non-skiers, Bukovel offers hot springs and mineral waters for both health and recreational purposes.
The Radisson Blu Resort, Bukovel will feature 252 rooms and a full complement of food and beverages, including several restaurants, a lobby bar, a cigar lounge, and a night club. To attract conferences and events, 1,400 m2 of meeting space is planned including a ballroom. Leisure facilities will include a kids club, a game room, and retail shops. Finally, for recuperation after a long-day of skiing, there will be a 2,000 m2 spa & wellness complex with an indoor pool, steam rooms, saunas, fitness and treatment rooms.
