Senate House will ring in its first ever Christmas season in 2011 with ‘Vintage Elegance’

Influenced by the building’s stunning art deco architecture, Senate House will be styled to reflect the bold attitude of the 1930’s where neck lines plunged and glamour was strictly on the dance card.

Overseen by Evolve Events and Silverleaf Events, Senate House’s imposing art deco interior will be sensitively lit to maximise the bold lines of Charles Holden’s 1937 architecture. Style is very much key to the evening giving guests the chance to fully appreciate the ambience and heritage of London’s first skyscraper.

Oversized Christmas trees will reach deep into the expansive Crush Hall where reception drinks and canapés will be served. Butlers will ease guests into the spirit of the evening as glasses are refreshed and acquaintances, old and new, are made. Dinner, served in the Beveridge Hall will be a three-course affair with matching wines. Flashes of rich purples and raucous reds reflect the hues of art deco design with oversized arrangements on each table, setting the scene for the evening. After dinner guests are invited into the Macmillan Hall where dancing starts.
