Florence will host the 11th Icobte
Over 600 participants from 47 different nationalities. These are some numbers of the 11th International Conference on the Biogeochemistry of Trace Elements (ICOBTE) to be held in Florence from July 3rd to July 7th. Through the study of trace metals on the earth’s crust, this discipline is usefull to make assumptions about future changes in the Earth, in order to develop policies and solutions in areas delicate for the future of humanity, as the farming industry, food, health and mining, environmental pollution, waste disposal and global warming.
Thanks to the success of the florentine candidacy, won 3 years ago by the Firenze Convention Bureau and Dr. Giancarlo Renella, President of the Conference and professor at the University of Florence, it was possible to bring in Florence, after 10 editions (and never in Italy), a very important event for the international scientific reseach. The organization is entrusted to ENIC company.
