On Saturday the ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programme came to an end. Delegates from 32 cities from all over the world were offered a chance to share their best practices and make new contacts during workshops and training involving marketing, ability of presentation,  using the ICCA contact database, building up customer relationships, and many more.

Nothing can describe the event better than the opinions from the participants. And these are some of them:

“Gdańsk is a city of unexpected delights rich in culture and steeped in history. The ICCRM conference provides ideal platform for exchange of ideas’s, and where better to do so than in the city that has inself been catalyst for so much change. Gdansk and its rich history teach us that an exchange of idea’s and trends embraced with an open mind can result in a better product. ICCRM inspires us to think outside the box and try harder, just as the people of Gdansk did whe faced with almost insurmountable odds. Thank you Gdansk, Poland. I leave inspired.”

“When I arrived to Gdansk I felt like I have traveled beck to the historical times, and I loved the experience of learning the Polish culture and Polish cuisine. It was a great pleasure to travel all the way from Borneo for the ICCARM and network with new friends and colleagues.”

The ICCA Research, Sales & Marketing Programme 2012 will be held in Bregenz, Vorarlberg, Austria from 13-16 June 2012 at the Festival House Bregenz.

At the same time, Poland hosted the World Volleyball League Finals. This prestigious event was held in the most high-tech stadium in Poland, the ERGO Arena, on the boundary of Gdańsk and Sopot. Volleyball fans from all over the world came to Pomerania to support their favourite teams. The Polish Tourist Organisation came here as well!

During this prestigious event, Gdańsk became a place where the worlds of business and sports came together. The event has proven Gdańsk’s ability to organise different events of this scale at the same time, both in terms of the necessary venues and the demand for hotels.
We are proud that Poland earned two medals in this weekend. The gold one for conference ICCRM organized by Gdańsk Convention Bureau and bronze for polish volleyball team!
