Danish world class gastronomy, international high-class restaurants and live music on two stages are some of the ingredients on the festival “International Days – Taste the World”.

Though Copenhagen Cooking’s main programme runs from 19-28 August, there will be an extra opportunity for a unique taste experience 3-4 September when “International Days – Taste the World” takes place in partnership with the City of Copenhagen. The festival is placed in exciting Rantzausgade situated in the heart of Nørrebro. Here the entire street will be transformed into Copenhagen’s biggest street kitchen where the visitors can taste several small, cheap dishes from 20 of the most popular restaurants in Copenhagen.

The diversity of the food is great and you can taste everything from special French cakes, steaks from Argentina, fresh chinese springrolls, Italian food with a twist, Spanish tapas, Arabian specialties and much more. You can also try some of the delicious food from the only Thai restaurant in the world with a Michelin-star – Kiin Kiin – which is also represented on the festival.

International culinarity
Besides the many Danish restaurants “International Days  – Taste the World” have invited seven international top-restaurants to show their food skills for a Danish audience. Here, among others, you will find the Spanish ‘Kuto al Plato’ from Madrid, who has won “Best Tapas 2011” and was assigned a Bib Gourmand honor in the Michelin guide, the highly estimated Mexican restaurant ‘Los Danzantes’ which serves modern Mexican food build on traditional ingredients, and specialties from our neighbor country, Sweden, where you can meet some of their best chefs serving Swedish tapas. All the tastings are cheap and available for only 30 Danish kroner per portion.

Lots of live music
While you stroll through the street and taste the delicious food from all around the world there will be plenty of live music on two different stages, where you can listen to hip-hop, rock, world-music and electronica performed by well-known Danish bands, artists and DJ’s. The festival is free with the option of buying food at the stands.
