Meeting Time will be held from 6 to 8 October at the Fiera di Rimini Exhibition Centre, as part of Italy’s leading B2B tourism show.
The event is strategically positioned between two related industries and is sponsored by Italy’s Convention Bureau; 35 exhibitors and around 40 Italian and international hosted buyers are expected.
28 SEPTEMBER 2011 – Meeting Time, the workshop organised by BTC and dedicated to the meetings, events and incentives industry, returns from 6 to 8 October at the Fiera di Rimini Exhibition Centre as part of TTG Incontri, Italy’s leading B2B tourism show.
Designed and organised by BTC, Italy’s events exhibition, Meeting Time takes a selection of top sellers of products and services for events right into the heart of the tourism market, maximising the synergies between buyers’ interests and responding to operators’ business development needs.
“Last year, Meeting Time was well received by those who attended, thereby confirming the value of a project that has proved particularly results-oriented” commented Paolo Audino, CEO of TTG Italia and of Exmedia, the company that organises BTC. “On the one hand, Meeting Time confirms BTC’s commitment to providing continuity tools with the market beyond the show itself; on the other, Meeting Time is strategically positioned between two related industries, events and tourism: the synergies between the two offer operators opportunities to develop their business and give buyers the chance to optimise product and service procurement”.
The workshop is sponsored by Italy’s Convention Bureau, a move in line with its mission of promoting Italy’s conference industry, as Meeting Time brings exhibitors into direct contact not only with specialised Italian and European hosted buyers, but also with the approximately 40,000 visitors to TTG Incontri, many of which, particularly agencies and tour operators with events divisions, are interested in meeting and selecting events suppliers.
Meeting Time boasts a specialised and exclusive character: it is held in an elegant lounge, reserved for a limited number of exhibitors to guarantee the event’s quality, and attended by Italian and European hosted buyers. The “light” exhibition solution, centred on a set-up with a small table and comfortable chairs, leaves sellers free to concentrate on personal meeting with buyers, the real strength of the workshop.
BTC is capitalising on its knowledge of the meetings, events, conferences and incentive travel market, taking to Meeting Time a selection of corporate and agency buyers with proven buying power: two thirds are Italian, and a third come from Europe’s major markets (UK, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland). Exhibitors include destinations, hotels for conferences, conventions and incentive travel, as well as tour operators with specialised events divisions.
The pre-scheduled appointments with exhibitors are reserved for hosted buyers registered at Meeting Time, and will take place on 7 and 8 October; on 6 October, the day the workshop and TTG Incontri open, entry to the Meeting Time area is open to all show visitors.
In addition to the work schedule, hosted buyers can also benefit from the social programme: this comprises a visit to Rimini’s new Palacongressi followed by dinner inside the venue on 6 October, and an evening in the historic Republic of San Marino, with dinner hosted by the San Marino Convention & Visitors Bureau on 7 October.
