OVATION GLOBAL DMC CALLS FOR 2011 HUGGABILITY NOMINATIONS – VEGAS STYLE

Following the success of the 2009 and 2010 Huggability Award, Ovation Global DMC has unveiled the third annual award campaign. This award, which was commended at the 2010 Meeting Industry Marketing Awards UK, recognises those individuals who make a real impact within the meetings industry, those with the ‘’huggability factor’’.

Commenting on the launch of the 2011 campaign Patrick Delaney, Managing Director of Ovation Global DMC said ‘’The Huggability Award has quickly established itself as one of the most novel and fun awards in the meeting and event industry. With the exciting and enticing city of Las Vegas as Ovation Bears’s playground this year the fun factor is surely guaranteed’’.

Among the nominations already received are;

• Michael Burke, Manager, Conference & Travel Services, The Hanover Insurance Group, Boston,
• Fernanda Nielsen, Account Executive at SEI Meetings & Incentives, Dallas
• Bonnie Boyd, President & CEO of BBC Destination Management, New Orleans and
• Renato Grieco of Ovation Switzerland.

Michael is recognised for ‘’being a true professional who does a huge amount of charity work particularly through his golf classic’’ while Fernanda is cited for ‘’her work beyond the call of duty’’. Bonnie’s ‘’infectious Southern drawl and larger than life personality’’ are deemed deserving of a hug while Ovation Switzerland’s ‘’well known and much loved’’ Renato Grieco is honoured for the fun his’’ impeccably planned Christmas party costumes’’ creates.
