Pegasus Solutions Names Vice President in Asia-Pacific

DALLAS, SCOTTSDALE and LONDON (September 7, 2011) – Pegasus Solutions® has appointed Rachel Grier to vice president of business development, Asia-Pacific (ASPAC). Grier brings more than 20 years of experience to her position, where she will be responsible for helping hotels generate business opportunities through the Utell® Hotels & Resorts representation service, as well as capturing bookings with Pegasus’ RezView® NG central reservation system (CRS).

The announcement was made by Tom Gallagher, executive vice president of revenue generation for Pegasus Solutions. “Rachel has in-depth experience in commercial sales, marketing and revenue management of hotels, air and travel services across all segments and distribution channels. Her knowledge of the ASPAC region will be invaluable in continuing to drive Pegasus and Utell as global leaders in the hospitality industry.”

Pegasus has continued to build momentum in the Asian market, generating awareness of its unique and comprehensive reservations, representation, financial and distribution services and solutions. Specifically, RezView® NG’s multi-lingual visibility allows hotels operating globally to manage content across all channels in multiple languages to provide consistent marketing and branding from a single point of entry. Utell Hotels & Resorts has also expanded its portfolio with notable four- and five-star properties in the region which recently include new properties from the Japan Ryokan Association and Evergreen Hotels.

Prior to joining Pegasus, Grier held senior roles with large international groups such as Intercontinental Hotels Group, and has been accountable for total revenue generation in hotel portfolios across Asia and the Middle East. She spent the last eight years of her career in Asia and speaks a number of Asian and European languages. An Australian national, Grier is also a permanent resident of Singapore. She holds a diploma in hospitality and travel from Box Hill Institute.
