René Goltstein, director of Hotel Derlon in Maastricht, has joined the board of the Maastricht Convention Bureau. The Maastricht Convention Bureau is a foundation which promotes Maastricht & surrounding area as a destination for conventions and corporate meetings. Partners of the foundation are: MECC Maastricht, Maastricht Tourist Board, hotels and supporting companies (service suppliers). In the Maastricht Convention Bureau board, René Goltstein will represent the hotels. 

René Goltstein, 42, has a lot of experience in the international hotel industry. He has been director of the Derlon hotel Maastricht now for three years. He is looking forward to his role as a board member: “By being a board member, I can contribute even more to the success of the Maastricht Convention Bureau and its goals. As their representative, I can work together with the hotels, to try and recruit even more conventions and corporate meetings for Maastricht & surrounding area. Cooperation is the key word of the Maastricht Convention Bureau and I am looking forward to being the go-between with the partners on the one hand and the general board of the Maastricht Convention Bureau on the other.”

Next to Goltstein, members of the board of the Maastricht Convention Bureau are: Mr R. Stevens (independent chairman), Mr R. Hanssen (for MECC Maastricht), Mr N. Bos (for the Maastricht Tourist Board) and Mrs B. Dormans (for the supporting companies).

The Maastricht Convention Bureau promotes Maastricht & region as destination for conventions and corporate meetings, in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Therefore, they provide free, independent information, advice and mediation to planners and organisers of such meetings.
