The Moises Shuster Award is ICCA’s highest honour and recognises outstanding service in the international meetings industry. It is named after one of ICCA’s founding fathers and past Presidents. Hulton is a former CEO of the Association but in recent years he has become well-known throughout the global meetings, incentive travel and events industry for his work helping to develop the IMEX-MPI Future Leaders programme. He has also been instrumental in raising the profile and impact of the IMEX Politicians Forum, which is part of the trade show’s long-term effort to effect better communication and recognition of industry issues at local, regional and national government levels all over the world.
Speaking after he had been presented with the award by ICCA President, Arnaldo Nardone, Hulton said: “What a fantastic surprise and honour this award has been. I would like to dedicate it to all my wonderful friends and colleagues around the world who together make this industry so special.”
Offering his personal congratulations, IMEX Group Chairman, Ray Bloom, said: “Everyone who meets or knows Tom will be aware just what an asset he has been to IMEX in recent years. His persistence, diplomacy, skill, knowledge and contacts have allowed us to expand the Future Leaders programme further than we ever imagined and, most importantly, to develop the Politicians Forum with the appropriate level of authority and care.”
