The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre rolled out the red carpet recently for the private premiere of Liv, an Australian short film which underwent post production in the venue’s state-of-the-art Centre Video Production (CVP) unit.

Produced by Shoe Productions (Tracey Savage and Pauline Findlay), Liv addresses the growing problem of cyber bullying and has been entered for a number of international film festivals.  It features a number of well-known Australian actors including Jack Campbell and Guy Edmonds.

Producer Tracey Savage said CVP’s facilities were ideal for the post-production of the film.

“I’ve used CVP for a number of film projects. It’s a real gem because it has the full gamut of equipment and it’s well located in the city, yet it’s very intimate and you’re well looked after,” Ms Savage said.

Located within the Centre, CVP offers clients a range of quality equipment including three HD Final Cut suites, tangent colour grading facilities and multi-format input/output capabilities.

CVP’s services also include script writing, filming, directing, editing, web broadcasting, and conference video production.

The facilities are available for external hire and have been used by a number of film and documentary makers in recent years.

CVP is part of the Centre Technical Production and Design team which is the winner of this year’s Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) National Awards for best in-house audio visual services.
