Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has won for the second year running ‘ Airline of the year to the Far East ’ in the 2011 Travel Agents Choice Awards at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) in ExCel, London.
The important accolade, which is based solely on votes by UK travel agents, was presented to members of THAI today at the WTM stand.
Mr. Krittaphon Chantalitanon , Vice President from THAI’s Product & Service Development Department, said: ‘THAI is honoured to receive this award for the second-year running. We are always looking at ways to better our service and are currently implementing on-going retrofitting projects to a number of aircrafts to create higher customer satisfaction and to improve THAI’s overall competitiveness.’
WTM is one of the world’s largest travel exhibitions and this will be the first time in four years that THAI will host its own booth; its more visible presence mirroring the increasing exposure THAI is currently receiving as one of the world’s most feted airlines.
THAI recently joined more than 5,000 exhibitors from over 189 countries and regions worldwide at the ExCel Centre in London. World Travel Market is one of the most important global industry gatherings providing a host of enlightening talks and events highlighting industry innovation and providing cutting-edge insight into where the aviation and tourism industries are heading.
