A very special VIP event was held in Berlin to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Jewish Museum. Designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind, the Jewish Museum has developed into one of the world’s largest centres for Jewish history and culture since its dedication 10 years ago.
On 24 October 2011, nearly 1,000 VIPs from politics, business and media were invited to the anniversary dinner at the former flower market, which is currently being converted into the Academy of the Jewish Museum, and had the exclusive opportunity to take a look around the new premises.
The evening began with a performance of the Berlin Staatskapelle orchestra under the direction of Daniel Barenboim at the Berlin Philharmonic.
Following the concert, the anniversary dinner at the Academy was opened by the host, Prof W. Michael Blumenthal, Director Jewish Museum Berlin. The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony for the “Prize for Understanding and Tolerance”, which was presented to the German Chancellor, Dr Angela Merkel.
Supported by a multimedia show of lights, projections and music, the evening was artistically and visually also a very special experience for the invitees.
As a full-service agency, the Berlin office of the international event specialists of VOK DAMS provided solutions for the entire range of live communication – from implementation to logistics and guest management.
