The certificate, which is granted by the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification (AENOR), guarantees that FYCMA is a fully accessible building.

AENOR has thereby certified that FYCMA complies with the UNE 170001-2:2007 regulation, which means it, meets the requirements for disabled and mobility-challenged visitors to access all its facilities and services.

FYCMA is the first building in Andalusia to be certified as a fully accessible building, which turns it into a leading venue in the conference and meeting industry and also a fine example of social commitment, adding extra features to a public building.

Global accessibility experts have advised the FYCMA team for months, tearing down all architectural and structural barriers blocking the access to or the use of the centre’s facilities, and adding the necessary furnishings to make the building fully accessible.

Now, FYCMA has special areas for disabled visitors, accessible paths, and accesses from the car park to the interior, stage elevators, lifts with voice systems announcing the floors and indications in Braille, and many other disabled access features. The whole signalling system has been upgraded to make sure the centre complies with all accessibility standards.
