During February 12th – February 19th 2012, the event takes place at the Oslo Winter Park Tryvann and the Holmenkollen Arena.
The world’s best snowboarders are coming to the winter capital of Oslo to fight for titles in slopestyle, halfpipe and quarterpipe competition.
The World Snowboarding Championships Oslo 2012 (WSC) is the first championships run by snowboarders since 1999. The event takes place at the spectacularly upgraded Oslo Winter Park Tryvann and the world famous Holmenkollen Arena.
The program, including more than 250 riders from 40 nations, is an international media event and will certainly attract tens of thousands of spectators to Oslo, the World Winter Capital.
No other capital city can offer such an abundance of winter sports within the city limits – and the World’s best after ski! During the championships, concerts, events and the specially “imported” New York club Santos Party House will paint the city in all the colours of Snowboarding.

Oslo Winter Park Tryvann
In preparation of the World Snowboarding Championships the Oslo Winter Park Tryvann has undergone a complete facelift. At the Oslo area’s main ski resort located 523 metres above sea level, you can be skiing in only 20 minutes from downtown Oslo – by metro!
The park feature 18 slopes and 11 lifts, offering a range of activities inlcuding alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, special areas for children and beginners, terrain park and a brand new world class halfpipe specially constructed for the World Snowboarding Championships.
