Site Executive Summit 2012 Positions Argentina in the Spotlight of the Industry

For the first time in Site’s history the Site Executive Summit will take place in a South American destination.  From 3 – 7 March, Argentina will welcome professionals from the global incentive travel and motivational events industry, including leaders of the Site International Board of Directors.   Organized by the Bariloche Bureau, with the exceptional support of the INPROTUR, the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina; the Ministry of Tourism of Rio Negro, the EMPROTUR and Site South America, the week of activities will begin with one night in Buenos Aires at the Alvear Palace Hotel, and will continue with the 1st Board Meeting of 2012 at the LlaoLlao Hotel in Bariloche.

The Latin American Meeting’s Summit will take place in Bariloche from the 4th to 6th March 2012. This LAMS gathers the Site Executive Summit and the XII Encuentro Nacional de Destinos Sede de Eventos organized by the INPROTUR and AOCA, with the assistance of all major professionals of the argentine destinations, convention bureaus, hotels and suppliers of the meetings industry.

Site’s 2012 Executive Summit will take place in Bariloche 4 – 6 March at the Edelweis Hotel in Bariloche. The event promises to gather professional representatives from South American countries like Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Peru along with distinguished Site members from North America, Europe and other parts of the globe. Education is provided by the Site International Board of Directors and will deliver relevant business information on marketing a destination, trends and an overall outlook for the motivational events industry.

Site 2012 President Alejandro Verzoub, President, AV Business & Communication stated, “Events such as the Site Executive Summit are very important to the South American professional community because they are designed to speak to the needs and perspectives of our region. I am thrilled my home country will serve as host for the first Site Board meeting of the year plus the Executive Summit.  Additionally, I can confirm the enthusiasm of Site members from outside our region who have expressed their interest in participating in the educational program and discovering these two great destinations in Argentina.”

Argentine Minister of Tourism and INPROTUR president,  Mr. Enrique Meyer expressed: “We are honored to have the chance to host the Site International Board of Directors meetings and the Site Executive Summit for the first time in South America. Our country offers within the 6 tourist regions several exceptional destinations ideal for motivational events and incentive trips’, and experienced professionals trained to produce unforgettable and unique experiences.
President of the Bariloche Bureau, Mr. Guillermo Estevez stated, “Our city is prepared to show to the international professionals the quality and diversity of our destination. Excellent culinary options, unforgettable landscapes, diverse motivational experiences, great hospitality and a first quality infrastructure are winning points to surprise the audience that the Site Executive Summit will engage during this event.”

The Executive Summit is made possible by the energy and dedication of the Site South America chapter, its members and partners.  The strategic airline partner for this event is Aerolineas Argentinas.  The airline is offering a generous 25% discount in international and local flights into Buenos Aires and to Bariloche to encourage delegate attendance.
